A question about cervical mucus? - stick cervical mucus before period

Ive recently checking my CM, which is difficult to do because I naturally have long nails. In any case, my first question .. How did you take your finger stick to check to see if correct? In overweight and even when I leaned so far I can go alone, I can put my finger on it about 1 1 / 2 inches. Is it enough?
